MX10 common brake debugging(spring brake)
Warning
Ensure the car is locked. Adjust one brake each time.
1.1 Inspect brake travel

To totally open the brake by tighten the bottom of the center nut. |

To test the gap between the brake shoe and the brake drum surface of sheave by glide of the feeler If the gap is: ● 0.05mm but less than 0.1mm, you can close the brake. (Jump to step 1.3)
● Larger than 0.1mm or less than 0.05mm,then adjust the gap again. (following instruction of step 1.2)

1.2 Inspect brake travel

Remove the tighten shim on the brake adjusting bolt. |

To adjust the gap by turning the two adjusting bolt, one side each time. Adjusting bolt is sensitive.(1/4 turn equals to gap adjustment of 0.25mm) |

Adjust the upper gap to 0.1mm |

Use tighten shim to lock the adjusting nut. Note:Don’t change the position of the adjusting nut, put the tighten shim at the right place. |

1.3 Close brake

Loose the center nut and ensure the shim is not pressed tight and is able to turn freely. Note:Check and test the brake release device after every adjustment. |
